Public Transportation 

Take Public Transportation to travel to shopping areas, County services and Albany.
**Schedules and fares are subject to change. Buses may be a few minutes early or late depending on traffic and/or weather**

Each day of the week is a different route, serving different parts of Columbia County

Four round trips along the western part of Columbia County to Albany

After-School  - Hudson/ Greenport/Stottville/Claverack
Monday through Friday Service
From Hudson City Schools, take a bus to after-school programs in Hudson. After the program, take the after-school bus home.

Summer Youth Bus 
Monday through Friday Service
Free transportation for youth to and from summer programs.  

The bus makes stops in Philmont, Stottville, Greenport, Claverack, and Hudson. The summer programs include Oakdale, Kite's Nest, Hudson Area Library, Perfect Ten, and Promise Neighborhood.  Sign up through the participating summer program organization.

**Please note:  County offices are closed the day after Thanksgiving but the Public Transportation is running on a regular schedule**

Passenger Policies

Columbia County Transit recognizes its obligation to transport the public in a safe and efficient manner, and to provide a pleasant and clean atmosphere in which to ride. Accordingly, Columbic County Transit has put into effect the following passenger behavior guidelines

Accessibility 

​Columbia County Public Transportation will deviate up to 3/4 mile off the route to pick up those individuals who cannot get to a scheduled pick-up.
For information and reservations, please call by 4pm the day prior to the ride at: 518-672-4901

Senior Transportation 

Provided by Columbia County Office of the Aging
Seniors aged 60 and over who are unable to drive, have no means of travel or are restricted from driving due to
medical reasons can make a scheduled appointment for pickup.
To schedule a pickup, call 518-567-3677

Additional Transportation 

- The Children and Adults Rural Transportation Service (CARTS)
Provides free door-to-door, non emergency medical transportation to Columbia County residents. 
The operating hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday - Excluding Holidays.
