The Columbia County Department of Health has received the seasonal flu vaccine and has scheduled clinics for Columbia County residents 19 years old and up who would like to receive the flu shot.

The Health Department will accept the following senior insurance plans as long as they are the primary and not supplemental plans:

  • Blue Shield
  • CDPHP
  • Medicare B
  • MVP
  • Senior Whole Health
  • We can bill Today's Options or any Medicare advantage plan


The Columbia County Health Department will now accept the following non-senior insurance plans:

  • Blue Shield Only (no Blue Cross)
  • MVP
  • CDPHP
  • other plans - encouraged to go the private physician


Individuals must bring their cards to the clinics for verification.

All others are expect to pay a $30.00 fee for the flu shot, cash or checks accepted no debit or credit cards.


Pneumonia Vaccine will also be available at the community clinics to individuals 65 or older. The previous mentioned insurances will be accepted for pneumonia shots. All others are expected to pay a 65.00 fee.

Children aged 6 months to 18 years of age will be offered the flu vaccine at the regularly scheduled Immunization clinics every Monday and Tuesday from 1-4 pm at the Health Department located at 325 Columbia Street Hudson NY on the 1st floor. Flu shots for persons 19 or older will be offered at the Health Department after all the community clinics are finished.

Talk to your doctor before getting the flu shot if you: ever had a serious allergic reaction to eggs or to a previous flu shot, or have a history of Guillain-Barre Syndrome.
