Existing Permits:
The Columbia County Clerk's Office has just implemented their
new pistol permit software.
Paper permits have become a thing of the past. Our new system
issues durable plastic card permits.This change will make carrying your information
easy and convenient. The card
easily fits into your wallet as it
is about the size
of a standard credit card. Photo, signature, and fingerprint
requirements are obtained through the state of the art software
and then printed onto your new permit. The durability of the
plastic cards will increase the life of your permit and make
the information
readily available and easy to read and understand.
We are currently in the process of adding information to the new
system. If you would like to have a new card issued, please
call the office(518) 828-3339 for an appointment. You can
also download the necessary application for a replacement
